A growing number of European workers are dissatisfied with work-from-home policies from their employers and are willing to change jobs to works with more flexibility on the matter, according to a recent study by the European Central Bank.

The study found that nearly a third of eurozone workers wants more work-from-home. The ECB noted that “30% of workers had work from home preferences that exceeded” their current offering. Accordingly, those workers are more likely to pursue other job opportunities and change jobs to employees offering more remote work.

According to the study, two-thirds of European employees wants to work at least one day per week from home. Commuting is the main factor in this decision, with one-hour commuter preferring four days more of remote working per month compared to people with fast commutes.

This growing request is happening while businesses are still trying to figure out their new business policies from remote working, with mulling tensions with unions.
