Poland is setting up an analytical team to launch a probe into whether the notorious Epstein Files contain evidence of harm or abuse against Polish children.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk spoke about this before a governmental meeting on Tuesday. The decision was taken between the prime minister, the minister of Justice, the Prosecutor General and the Minister Coordinating Special Services. Tusk said that the case attracted attention in Poland’s public opinion and among politicians, especially “due to the so-called Polish threads or traces in this entire matter.”

Tusk didn’t rule out prosecutions for those responsible, saying that “those responsible for it and possibly those harmed not only see the activity of the Polish state, but also make reparations if necessary and, above all, effectively prosecute those who commit such horrific crimes.” He even said that he may ask US authorities to release undisclosed files that may concern Polish victims.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated on Tuesday that many commentators and experts believe it is highly likely that the Jeffrey Epstein scandal was an operation by the Russian KGB. He described it as a “honey trap,” designed to ensnare the elites of the Western world, particularly in the United States.

Among the various files, some mention a group of Polish women or girls from Krakow who were available for Epstein. Tusk wants to investigate those claims and others further. He said that he will encourage other countries to act similarly to Poland “to conduct an international investigation into this matter.”

Last week, the US Department of Justice released 3 million pages of previously undisclosed documents, dubbed the Epstein Files for years. They contain years of correspondence between notorious banker Jeffrey Epstein and several high-profile individuals worldwide. Epstein had a private island in the Caribbean where, reportedly, he engaged in sex parties with minors together with some of his visitors. Epstein committed suicide in 2019 when he was under arrest for his involvement in organising paedophilia rings.
