Tusk emphasised the importance of collective action in areas such as support for Ukraine, defence, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. He praised the enduring nature of Polish-French friendship, built on solid foundations.
In addition to security, the discussions included economic topics, with Tusk expressing Poland’s desire for equitable trade and mutual investments in energy and infrastructure.
Regarding nuclear deterrence, Macron confirmed ongoing collaboration in nuclear energy.
Tusk also thanked Macron for France’s swift response to a recent security incident involving Russian drones, highlighting NATO’s reliability. He described Polish-French security cooperation as boundless and identified France as Poland’s most loyal partner in defending its eastern border. Macron affirmed plans to deepen security collaboration and conduct large-scale joint military exercises in the coming months.
