The Presidents of Ukraine and Indonesia had a meeting in Japan

During his working visit to Japan to participate in the G7 Summit, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed his interlocutor about the course of hostilities in Ukraine. The Head of State drew attention to the shelling of the civilian infrastructure in the country.

He called on the President of Indonesia to support Ukraine’s efforts to return illegally deported children.

Joko Widodo commended the continuation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative. The parties noted the importance of its expansion.

During the meeting, the leaders discussed the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula, food issues, and humanitarian assistance. Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the President of Indonesia for the invitation to participate in the G20 Summit in November 2022, where the Ukrainian Peace Formula was presented to the world.

The President of Ukraine also expressed gratitude to Indonesia for its readiness to support the efforts to restore Ukraine, particularly in the healthcare sector.

“To President Zelenskyy, I convey that I am closely following the development of the situation in Ukraine, and I am sorry for the victims who continue to fall. Indonesia continues to support peace efforts in Ukraine and is always ready to become a bridge for peace,” tweeted the President of Indonesia after the meeting.
